” The great tabi’ee Ibn Seereen rahmatullahi alayh, has said that:
This knowledge is deen so be careful who you take your deen from.
Therefore, it is of utmost importance that we know whose material we are reading and listening to. Unfortunately, today we go on the web and read and listen to whatever we come across.
But we should not rely on such material until we are sure of its authenticity.”
A person who can read and write English will not be considered or indeed allowed to give judgment on the Law as they have not acquired the necessary qualifications and training. A person who has been charged with Murder will not surf the internet or ask his friends to prepare his defence, he would acquire the services of solicitors/barristers. Likewise as this post indicates we must do the same and acquire the services of the Ulama
