“The more sacrifice a person makes (in controlling the gaze) the greater will be the elevation in spirituality.

This is especially relevant to those who work in offices or study at college or university, where the opportunity to cast evil glances arises again and again.

So why not use such opportunities as means to acquire the pleasure of Allah?

In fact, a person who lowers his gaze often has more sincerity than a person who is praying nafl prayers, because there is a chance that the prayer is contaminated with ostentation, whereas lowering your gaze can only be for Allah.

Those who practice on this will see that they progress towards Allah in leaps and bounds.

Ibn Qayyum rahamatullahi alayh said that a person who dies without repenting from the sin of casting lustful gazes will be deprived of seeing Allah the Most High.

Even after entering Jannah, he will not be able to see his Lord.  Remember this warning is not only for men; this problem affects women who admire men too.”
