“Amongst the great qualities possessed by the respected Shaykh Haji Farooq rahmatullahi alayh was the quality of sincerity. During one of his trips to Barbados the respected Shaykh’s lecture schedule was being finalised.

As part of the discussion, it was suggested that Shaykh should not lecture on a Sunday because most people in Barbados would be at work and the audience would be very small.

The organisers also suggested that Sunday would be an ideal day for Shaykh to rest. However Shaykh continued to insist that talks should be scheduled irrespective of the size of the audience.

The discussion continued and those present continued to insist that there should be no lecture on Sunday. Seeing this insistence the respected Shaykh said:”

‘My dear ones, since when have you started thinking that I lecture for other people and aim to rectify them through my words?

Whenever I lecture my intention is nothing but my own rectification which I hope to achieve by reflecting upon the words which I am saying.’
