“When a person manages a group of people then there are two general styles he can adopt. The first is an open approach. A manager who adopts this style will for example tell his team that we have this project to complete in six months. He will then expect his team to complete it and bring it back.
Alternatively a person can adopt a guided approach. A manager who adopts this approach will also say that we have this project to complete in six months. But this manager will provide a project plan as well the guidelines which he wants you to follow in order to complete the project.
Now which managerial style will a team of workers prefer? It is highly likely that they will prefer the second one because the framework which is provided will assist the team in reaching their objective.
Likewise the Shariah is the focused project plan and guideline of Allah ta’ala designed to assist us in gaining our objective of Jannah. Imagine, if we had no guidelines and if we were allowed to rely solely on our intellect what would be our condition? “
