Whilst sitting in Shaykh’s blessed company I took the following notes and hope they are of benefit to others.
Sorrow will definitely come, difficulties will definitely come, hardships will definitely come. When calamities befall a person without imaan they cannot find any avenue to solve their difficulty, they lose hope very quickly. Difficulties descend upon everyone, however when they fall upon a Muslim, the Muslim tries to find an avenue through the teachings of our beloved Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and Allah changes their fate.
Difficulties are a blessing in disguise. Never fear difficulties, as they come as a source of guidance. In times of hardship, difficulty or sorrow one should increase one’s bond with Allah. Always think positive and not negative. Learn patience. There is always hope at the end of the tunnel. Remember also Sadaqa (charity) deflects calamities, Shaykh said that he personally frequently gives charity when faced with difficulties.
Thanks for these words of comfort
